Who we are

Pleased to meet you! We are Special Cargo Services, the Dangerous Goods Specialist. Special Cargo Services provides all services related to the storage, packaging and transport of dangerous goods. We do this from our locations at Schiphol, Europoort, Texas (USA) and on-site at our customers’ premises.

In addition to Special Cargo Services, Special Cargo College also falls under the Special Cargo umbrella. Special Cargo College is the leading trainer for Logistics Netherlands in the field of dangerous goods, aviation security and safety. Each year, they train more than 30,000 students both in classrooms and online. At this training institute, you will follow various courses that will prepare you well for your role as Logistics Operator.

What you will do

You will join us as a Dangerous Goods Operator. Your work will take place both in the office and in the warehouse, where you will speak to customers over the phone as well as get your hands dirty in the warehouse. The following tasks are part of your responsibilities:

  • Packaging and documenting dangerous goods;
  • Checking dangerous goods shipments on location;
  • Preparing shipments for further transport;
  • Creating and processing quotations;
  • Informing customers about shipment status updates;
  • Complete administrative handling of files;
  • Executing pick & pack processes.

What you bring

  • You have MBO-level working and thinking skills.
  • Relevant work experience is nice to have, but not required.
  • You have a driver’s license.
  • You have good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
  • You are communicative, able to hold your own in a dynamic environment and willing to go the extra mile.

For working with air cargo, a Certificate of No Objection (VGB) is required. We will apply for this together with you prior to your employment.
